Monsoon Shootout (SIFF 2014)

Adi, a rookie cop in Mumbai, is thrust into the intense “what-ifs” of police decision making when he is forced to choose whether or not to shoot a criminal in a rain-soaked, dimly-lit alleyway. His story plays out through alternate outcomes with just enough repetition to keep the story centered, but it never becomes stale or boring. Adi learns that no matter what choices we make in life, there will always be unexpected fallout, but also unexpected joy to be had. Very well written and filmed, impassioned and earnest, and kept me guessing through to the very end.

Provided Film Synopsis
